Narrative #1
Original Report
Reported By: Henderson, Timothy C.
13-FEB-1992
On 021392 at approx. 22:00 hours myself along with Det. Leonard and Det. Wayne Saylors went to The Wall Skateboarding, Inc. in reference to check out a complaint that they were running a dance establishment. We all paid an admission price of $7.00 each to get in. When we entered they had a live band performing and people were on the dance floor dancing (slam dance). While we listened to the band we noticed several underage persons walking around drinking beer in cans and also see through cups. It was my thought at this time that had someone been watching this, they could notice the beer drinking without any problems. At one point a white male was on the upstairs spitting beer on myself, along with Det. Leonard and Saylors. We were in the establishment approx. thirty minutes when this first band finally quit performing and through conversation with the crowd we found out that the feature attraction was fixing to perform. A short time later we noticed the other band began to head to the stage, at which point I noticed one of the band members walk to the stage wearing a see through pink outfit, with which his penis was fully exposed. This band member was the drummer for the G.G. Allin band and he walked through the crowd several times and at one point another band member grabbed the drummer's penis, and asked him how it was shaking. A short period of time later, the band was on stage and when they began to play the music, G.G. Allin jumped onto the stage wearing a black T-Shirt and a black G-String and a pair of shoes. When he began to sing he pulled the shirt off leaving only the G-String and shoes. G.G. Allin jumped off the stage while singing and began to fight several of the spectators. A couple of the spectators got their lips busted in the fights, G.G. Allin also sustained a black eye while performing.
I advised Det. Leonard to leave and call Lt. Black and advise him of the violence and nudity while I stayed with Det. Saylors. After Leonard left it really got crazy, the Allin subject was chasing kids out the front door and all over the building. I left at this time to try and make contact with Lt. Black myself.
After making contact I went back into the building at which time Mr. Allin was nude, and during this last song Mr. Allin had a bowel movement on stage and began throwing it into the crowd and he placed the microphone in his rectum and then began licking it.
A very short time later the band quit performing and several city units, along with county units arrived at the scene where several persons were arrested for underage consumption and several other reasons. (See additional pages for individual arrests).

Police Raid Dalton Club
14 People Arrested
Dalton police stormed a local nightclub Thursday night and arrested 14 people, including several Chattanooga college students, on underage drinking charges and two New York band members who threw feces into the audience.
Detective Capt. Charles Black said three undercover officers had initially stepped into The Wall, 2209 Mountain Road, to see if the owner was complying with city ordinances.
The officers, later backed up by about a dozen more lawmen, saw much more.
The band, "G.G. Allen," was said to have been defecating on stage and slinging it into the audience, Black said.
Band members arrested include Michael Kevin Allen, 35, and Donald Marc Sachs, 38, both of New York City. They are each charged with disorderly conduct and public indecency. They were free on bond this morning.
Police have not yet released the names of 11 others arrested on underage consumption and disorderly conduct charges. The business owner was also arrested.
Black said the department worked the case throughout the night and the report - nearly 20 pages long - was still incomplete this morning.
Most of those arrested are between 18 and 20 years old and have Chattanooga addresses. None of those charged appeared to be from Dalton. One person had a Chatsworth address, Black said. Booking officers at the Community Correctional Center said the Chattanooga residents told them they were students at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
The owner of The Wall, Tony Alvarez of Ringgold, was charged with keeping a disorderly establishment. Other charges are pending.
The Wall has a legitimate business license. However, it is not licensed to sell alcohol. Black said it appeared that customers were bringing their own alcohol.
The business is licensed to hold occasional concerts and skateboard tournaments, Black said.

Band's Act Puts Two Members Behind Bars
Clad only in a pink see-through outfit, a New York band member took to a Dalton stage Thursday night, while the band's leader stripped down to a G-string and and defecated before an audience of teen-agers.
Initial response Friday was a resounding "In Dalton?"
Kevin Michael Allin, 35, of New York City was wisked away by Dalton police who witnessed the night's entertainment from an undercover vantage point.
Police had initially stopped by a club known as "The Wall" to make sure the business was complying with city ordinances.
A complaint had been called in that the skateboarding establishment was operating as a dance hall, and that alcoholic beverages were being consumed on the premises.
Undercover officers, assisted by about a dozen uniformed men, eventually arrested a 15 people, including the band members and the club's owner Tony Alvarez, 18, of Ringgold.
Allin is charged with indecent exposure and disorderly conduct, while fellow band member, 37-year-old Donald Mark Sachs of New York City, is charged with public indecency.
The band, "G.G. Allin and the Murder Junkies," are said to appeal to skinheads and neo-Nazi followers. These fans shave their heads, slam dance and practice often violent acts such as butting heads with one another or fighting with people in the audience.
Dalton police said the mostly teen-age audience, including the undercover officers, actually paid a cover charge to see the unusual entertainment.
A 16-year-old Dalton resident saw the show and said he escaped arrest because he had left the premises prior to the raid.
Kevin Price of Alabama Drive said he and his friend had to sign a waiver saying the band and the club owner Alvarez were not responsible for anything that might happen. Price questioned why police arrested some people who were not actually inside the building.
Police worked the case until 3 a.m. Friday, entering a report nearly 20 pages long.
The Wall has a legitimate business license. However, it is not licensed to sell alcohol. Detective Capt. Charles Black said it appeared that customers were bringing their own alcohol.
The business is also licensed to hold occasional concerts and skateboard tournaments, Black said.

GG Allin and the Southern Baptists (Freddi Griffin, Jeff Bakos, and George Marchman)
The Southern Baptists: Freddi Griffin, Jeff Bakos, and GG Allin (George Marchman not pictured)
Atlanta was home to GG Allin for several months during 1991 and 1992. During his stay in Room 216 at Ponce de Leon's infamous Clermont Hotel he recorded with the Southern Baptists at BAW (Bakos Amp Works). The Southern Baptists featured Freddi Griffin on drums, Jeff Bakos on bass, and George Marchman on guitar. GG apparently located the band members simply by asking around. Freddi and Jeff were well-known in Atlanta and, according to Freddi, GG wanted George Marchman because he'd heard that George could play guitar like James Williamson.
The Southern Baptists never played a live show, although Freddi Griffin did play with GG and the Murder Junkies at their Wreck Room show on February 14, 1992. The night before the Wreck Room show the Murder Junkies performed at The Wall in Dalton, Georgia. The band's actions at The Wall led to GG being arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and indecent exposure and the Murder Junkies' drummer, Dino Sex, being arrested and charged with public indecency. GG was bailed out in time for the show at The Wreck Room but Dino was not. GG introduced Freddi to the Wreck Room crowd by saying, "We lost our drummer last night because the motherfuckers arrested us... so we got, uh, a man from Atlanta sitting in on drums tonight, he's a motherfucker..." You can watch this performance on the DVD Savage South: Best of 1992, which can be ordered at GGALLIN.COM or rented from Netflix here. Four days after the Wreck Room gig GG was arrested in Houston, Texas. His parole violation (for leaving the state after his 1991 release) finally caught up with him and he was extradited to Michigan to serve out the remainder of his sentence at Jackson State Prison.
In an interview with Creative Loafing, Jeff Bakos, who aside from playing bass also produced and engineered the Southern Baptists' 7", recalled that although Allin "smelled like piss", he seemed civil and normal enough during rehearsals. "Then, when I handed him the microphone, he turned into GG Allin, this character with frantic energy who ran around the studio like a wild man," Bakos said. Shortly thereafter, Bakos stopped by to visit Allin backstage following the gig at the Wreck Room. While Allin was chatting with friends and fans, his girlfriend, a Clermont stripper, "whipped her pants down in the middle of the dressing room, peed into a pitcher, and he drank it," Bakos remembered. "GG always had to be the most outrageous motherfucker on the planet - and he was." Allin called Bakos from prison a few months later. "He said he wanted to do another recording, but the next thing I heard, he was dead," Jeff recalled. Freddi Griffin agreed with Jeff's statement: "It was cool working with him if you could stand the stench, ha ha ha." George Marchman, sadly, passed away shortly after GG.
The Southern Baptists 7" "Look into My Eyes and Hate Me" b/w "Hotel Clermont" was released in 1993 by Railroad Records. It was the last 7" released during Allin's lifetime. Another song recorded at BAW, "I Am the Highest Power" was released in 1993 on the 7" "Up Against the Wall". Freddi said that more material was recorded but he does not know what became of it. The three Southern Baptists songs are currently on Freddi Griffin's Soundcloud page.
